ENVIRONMENT
BLOKDEGAL’s commitment to the environment is clear and is one of the pillars that govern their actions. This is a clean and respectful with the environment industry.
The granite extraction process is performed inside a exploitation proyect and an environmental report that are pre-approved by the different Authorities.
The stone cutting is performed with diamond wire and water, in a clean and safety way. The energy consumption is very low. The CO2 emissions are virtually null, as well confirm the periodic studies and measurements that they are commission by us. Any pollutants product are used.
All stone extracted in our quarries is used, as a block for further processing, as masonry or as sandstone, being avoided in this way the waste generation.
The work in our quarries is done according to a Prior Environment Plan. There is also a Quarry Restoration Plan by endorsement guarantied, in orther to proceed with the rehabilitation of the natural space once the explotation will be finished.

BLOKDEGAL , aware of the using of a mineral resource , understood because of this reason, that must have a firm commitment and active participation with the Community.
As a consequence of this Social Commitment , education projects have been developed, and we collaborated frecuently with the University of Vigo and the School of Mining and Engineering in orther to, by one hand development of R&D&I, and, by other hand, participation Education Conference Cycle..
